Following on from a recommendation Ashely and Phil contacted me to discuss their wedding photography. The marriage ceremony was held at the Kings Church in Thornton and reception at the Lancashire Manor Hotel. We talked about the style of photography they wanted and looked at some of previous work.
English weather!
Once again the weather wasn’t the best, the sky was grey and there was a threat of rain. Everything inside the church went really well, and the atmosphere was something else, including live music! Unfortunately the weather did not improve. So we managed to grab a few pictures outside the church then decided to go to the next venue.
Lancashire Manor Hotel
The Lancashire Manor Hotel is near Skelmersdale and it is a superb location. I had been to the hotel a few weeks earlier to make sure there was a room available if the weather was bad, so I was well prepared.
Studio flash
I always take my studio flash equipment just in case. Thanks to having the right equipment and preparations the indoor wedding photographs were taken and did not cause any disruption to the schedule. After a short break, it was straight into the main hall for the wedding breakfast.
The final results were superb, despite the weather conditions. The gallery is a small selection from the day.
